Westfield Manufacturing became independent of Torrrington in 1961. Columbia is the last name of the company that started as Pope manufacturing in 1877. The paint has most of the gloss still left, but the top of the rack and fenders are starting to fade from sun exposure. more and a couple of dents on the fenders, frame and chainguard. The bike is all original except for the seat. Air in the tires, a little bit of wheel truing, some lubing, and its good to go. This bike is in great shape, and wouldn't take much to make it into a great rider.

But it's not being used or enjoyed, so it's time to sell. more collector, at one time owning more than 200 bicycles, this bike was a keeper, all the rest were sold ages ago. The bottom line is simple, you won't find a cleaner example of a 1963 Schwinn Touring Varsity Bicycle out there. Features braided period correct brake cable covering. Grips, brake levers are all in MINT condition. The fenders are in good condition, without any dings, and very mild chrome surface wear. The period correct Schwinn saddle has little wear.
